let it be

 There are some times when you actually think you cannot live without a certain thing and you start building up a hype around that stuff. It would be a watch, it would be a shirt, it could be a vehicle, it could be a person. And if you give it enough time, you will realise that the desire for that particular thing has made you glorify that thing beyond its actual beauty.

The only thing that has actually given me some pleasure on this where my desire for something has matched its output for me is maybe the bike, the bullet which I bought. I anticipated not too much riding it, but I mean as I ride it, it gives me much more pleasure than what I thought it would. Apart from that, maybe non-living things like a watch, the bambino I got, it is okay.

But then I keep on going back to my Amazon Fit. So yeah, I mean it is great, but it doesn't give you that pleasure after you get it. The whole build-up of desire and of ungettable things make things very attractive.

And this is very true of persons as well, which if you analyse, a lot of relationships will realise that there are times when you feel that this person is perfect in every which way. And the more effort you put into getting it, the more attractive that person gets. And you endow, like Karyung said, you endow that person with your own imagination and adulation where that person becomes some kind of extraordinary, you know, idol of perfection where she or he can do nothing wrong.

And then there is a peak you reach just before you actually know that person. And as you know that person, while initial few days might be really nice and you might find your validation, but as time goes by, you will realise that this is not the person that I thought it is and the flaws become more visible day by day. It could be friendship, it could be romance, it could be colleagues in workplace or anything.

But the kind of high you get built up to that person who is unreachable at some point of time, the point is that you might not ever reach that person, but the more you get to know about the person I have realised, you start seeing the flaws and you realise that it is not as perfect as it is imagined to be. And this is a very repetitive pattern. The built up is so nice, it is so high.

At some level there is an imagination or a film running in your head where the other person is a main character, you are also a main character and the world is revolving around both of you and the more you get to know, the more you realise the picture-cracking. Somehow it has happened with me, with many of my friends and people have ignored it, but I realised give it enough time things will get normalised things and the main point is not to kind of make some commitments or make some statements or do some things which are a desperate attempt to get that person or that thing and may ruin your life forever. Main point is that don't be a slave to your lust for anything, be it material, immaterial, substantial metaphysical, physical, personal or financial.

If it is coming in its own time it will come. If it is not coming in its own time leave it, let it marinate, it has to come back, it will come back. If it doesn't have to come back you are far better not having it.

So in a way just let it happen, just let it happen things will happen and things have always happened for the good. The more you rush it, the more you try to push it, the more you try to act clever around it things will go for a six sooner than you expect and you will more importantly you'll feel very bad about the way you conducted yourself. Yeah just let things happen.
