course of life

 The more you live, the more one starts to accept the fact that the course of life is more fate-based than attempt-based, and even that attempt that you make or the personal choices that you take are moulded by a certain invisible force. I was talking to my younger brother, my cousin brother, and we were discussing a few common relatives, and we came to the same conclusion that there are some people who are so driven by something invisible in the fate that even if you push them towards the right decisions and the logical decisions or rational ones, there will be something in that path of fate which will push them towards wrong decisions. This was regarding one of our relatives who was getting treated for something and he was consistently pushing towards a particular line of treatment. 

His kids, his wife, and his, you know, even his brothers, they kind of convinced him that no, please take the other one, other methods of treatment and you'll be fine. But he went on and on pushing for a particular treatment which ultimately led to his painful death. In a way, everything that he did led to his own destruction, and it was done in a way which was driven by something external, something very supernatural, something very forceful from outside.

It's like as if suppose you want to offer some drink of water to a person who is dying of thirst, it will be illogical for him to refuse that water. And if he refuses that water, you will blame it on something very weird. And I have seen this happen in a lot of people where there are logical, rational and normal solutions in front of them. 

And they take the wildly absurd, stupid options presented to them, driven by something which neither gives them happiness, neither gives them solution. It's as if some invisible force is driving them towards their own destruction. And somewhere, you will have to admit to the fact that this force, you start seeing it as you see it as a pattern. 

And these people committing mistakes over and over again, they will exactly do the things which will screw themselves. And it is not that they're bad people, it is not that they're evil people, it's not that they're greedy people or they're just arseholes. No, they're very good people. 

But somehow, every cardinal decision, which could have improved their life, or could have lifted them out of poverty, or could have made the standard of life better, they will sabotage it very meticulously. And you feel like asking, why did you do it? You could have just let it go. But no, there's some death wish in all this.

And that is isomorphic fate. And that is what we came to agree after a lot of discussions today.
